The Highland Restaurant is not available on 15 and 16 May 2015 due to Tastings at the Top. The Tavern Bar & bistro will continue to operate, and does not require a booking. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.


Highland Restaurant

The Highland Restaurant is open daily for Lodge buffet breakfasts and dinner (bookings required for dinner). The menu is inspired by the best of Tasmanian produce and changes seasonally, the Highland Restaurant also hosts regular degustation dinners and winemaker dinners.

Tavern Bar & Bistro

Unwind in the rustic atmosphere of the Tavern Bar & Bistro - a warm and casual setting for bistro meals with the ambience of a large central wood fire. Open daily for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, the Tavern provides the perfect venue for casual drinks after a day exploring the surrounding wilderness, or a hearty meal in preparation for your next hike.

Guest Bar Lounge

Relax in front of the grand open fire and sink into the comfort of deep leather chairs in the Weindorfer Lounge, or retire to the Guest Lounge Bar for pre dinner drinks or an after dinner nightcap.

Chef Profile - Josh Hamilton

Chef Reuben Radonich - Season - Peppers Salt Resort & Spa

Leading the team at Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge Highland Restaurant and our Tavern Bistro is Executive Chef, Josh Hamilton. 

Josh has worked in the hospitality industry for over 11 years. Previously he worked as Sous Chef at Sails in the Desert, then moving on to Sous Chef at Freycinet Lodge; he worked most recently as Executive Chef at Rydges Gladstone. 

Brining his passion for hospitality and extensive experience to the Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge team, Josh is enthusiastic about combining the freshest of seasonal local produce to showcase what Tasmania has to offer.
