4WD Adventure tours

As the world’s largest sand Island, Fraser Island has long been a draw card to 4WD enthusiasts. This World Heritage listed site is bursting with natural beauty that can only found on a remote island location. Freshwater lakes, Deserted beaches and untouched rainforests are just some of the wonders that await.

Fraser Island

Fraser Island is a unique part of the Fraser Coast region, and its unusual formation of sand and rainforest make it a special source of adventure for visitors to explore. Although well known among fisherman and 4WD enthusiasts, it is the history and Aboriginal heritage that gives Fraser Island its individual character, expressed through wonderful coloured sand cliffs, unique fresh water lakes and diverse flora and wildlife.

Reef Fishing

Reef Fishing is a very popular sport around the Fraser coast. The Break Sea Spit off the northern tip of Fraser Island is the destination of choice for catching Snapper, Red Emperor, Spanish Mackerel and Trevally. Game Fishing charters and Reef fishing tours can be arranged through reception.

Whale Watching Cruises

Between July and November each year, Humpback whales frolic in the protected shallow waters around the Fraser Coast. Whale watching tours operated daily for half and full day tours to see these giants of the deep as they take a break from their annual migration.

Wine Tasting

Nestled between Olive groves and orchards are a number of boutique wineries around the South Burnett region of the Fraser Coast. This relatively new wine growing region produces crisp dry whites and full bodied reds. Explore the small towns and enjoy the magnificent scenery while tasting produce at the cellar doors.
