Katers Restaurant
Award winning Katers restaurant offers fine dining combined with modern Australian cuisine highlighting the freshest produce from the NSW Southern Highlands region. With a menu that changes regularly to reflect the seasonal availability of local ingredients, Katers boasts magnificent views of the retreat's leafy courtyard and manicured gardens.
Having recently undergone refurbishment, Katers is now more than ever, exuding old world charm and dining decadence. With dark chocolate being the theme for upstairs extending from carpets to wallpaper, the colour scheme beautifully complements the lighter hue of downstairs with its beech coloured timber floors, all illuminated by beautiful pendant ceiling lights. All this combined provides the finest in relaxed dining atmosphere - unobtrusive, friendly, yet delivering stunning food with immaculate service.
The innovation and hard work of Katers’ executive chef Francois Razavet and his team was recognised recently with a prestigious Chef’s Hat award for the second consecutive year at the Sydney Morning Herald’s 2010 Good Food Guide Awards. This accolade is a great acknowledgement of Katers’ dedication to country cuisine, timeless and confident service, Southern Highlands style, combined with three staple ingredients: consistency, attention to detail and innovation.
