Celebrity Chef Matt Golinski heads up the kitchen at View Restaurant as the hotel's Food Ambassador and Advisory Executive Chef. Matt is a Noosa-local himself and has launched a menu that showcases seasonal, locally-sourced produce in flavoursome dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
"My philosophy is to give customers a genuinely local experience, using only the freshest ingredients sourced from a local farmers and producers," Matt said.

Highly regarded among professional chefs, Matt creates new dishes and showcases the region with a passion for using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. Well known as one of the original team members of the popular ‘Ready Steady Cook’ television series, Matt has worked as executive chef at some of Queensland’s leading restaurants and founded his own catering company.
Based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, he now enjoys working as a consulting chef to View Restaurant, being a regular guest chef at festivals and events and writing his popular food columns and blog. He is also an active member of the Slow Food movement and a motivational speaker.
Since 2015 Matt has been helping the Gympie Region promote itself as a world-class food destination in his role as their Food and Culinary Tourism Ambassador. He uses his knowledge of the area and it’s producers to showcase the region through cooking demonstrations and his blog “Matt Eats Gympie.”
Third-generation local of Noosa, View Restaurant Head Chef Andrew Wilcox shares his passion for the region and vibrant produce with a lively kitchen team and delighted diners.
Beginning his culinary adventure earlier than most, Andrew entered the kitchen at just 13 years of age. Keen to learn with a strong appetite for gaining the skills needed in commercial kitchens, he began a school based apprenticeship that lasted three years. After a one-way trip to Melbourne, Andrew began managing his own kitchen team and learning the ropes of busy Melbourne hospitality. Exploring popular inner-city food markets increased Andrew’s resourcefulness and creativity, throwing together the fresh local produce in innovative ways. Upon eventually returning to Noosa, he embraced a new-found inspiration to bring families together in an environment that caters to all.
It is with this enthusiasm that Andrew leads the talented kitchen team at View Restaurant, crafting a menu of modern design and a touch of the old fashioned to please any palate.
