Koko inspired by Beach Boy’s song Kokomo that brings those tropical Port Douglas holiday vibes, as well as our signature cocktails. Koko’s is a chic – but relaxed tropical poolside bar and kitchen at Peppers Beach Club in Port Douglas. Celebrating local and seasonal produce, our all day snacking menu gives familiar favourites a bright twist with flavours and spices from our neighbouring Southeast Asian countries.
We also make a great burger, and service cooling poolside cocktails alongside our signature prawn roll – get here fast and then take it slow.

Introducing our Head Chef at Peppers Beach Club, Julian Veenstra
Julian has crafted his culinary style from experienced gained in many fine establishments including Restaurant Elefante being voted for best Mediterranean restaurant in Shanghai, awarded Restaurant the Print Hall in Perth and with early mentorship In the Netherlands from Chefs with Michelin Stars. We are excited that Julian now joins Peppers Beach Club in tropical Port Douglas to add to his culinary repertoire.
Julian is all about creating excellent quality dishes, sourcing fresh produce from local distributors, providing elegant, visibly appealing and delicious tasting meals. By combining the best and finest local and premium imported produce using skills gained from around the world, Julian designs dishes that makes you think - how is this being created?
