Peppers Convent Hunter Valley is just two hours drive from Sydney and was once home to the Brigidine Order of Nuns at Coonamble in New South Wales before being carefully transported 600kms to where it now sits in the Pepper Tree Estate today.
Lovingly restored to reflect the building's charming heritage and character, Peppers Convent Hunter Valley infuses the ambience of an indulgent French Baroque hotel mixed with the distinctive character of an Australian country guest house. Boasting 17 well appointed accommodation rooms, you'll find all the Peppers luxury you envisaged at Peppers Convent.
This intimate retreat features all the facilities you seek to remain active or simply relax and do nothing at all but rejuvenate. Start the day with a hit of tennis or explore the estate by bicycle. Of an afternoon why not indulge in a relaxing massage at our endota spa room.
Peppers Convent is surrounded by boutique wineries and endless outdoor recreation options. Our retreat is just a short stroll from the renowned Roberts Restaurant and Pepper Tree wine tasting barn and only 400 metres from Tower Estate. Guests can also enjoy hot air ballooning, helicopter flights, golf, bushwalks, horse riding, 4WD tours and cheese tasting at the Hunter Valley Cheese Company.

Peppers Convent exudes warmth and a sense of romantic seclusion. Relocated sonic 600 km from Coonamble on the NSW central-western plains, then restored, the 1909 convent manages to blend a decadent French Baroque charm with all of the things we love about a hearty Australian homestead and its unpretentious hospitality.
