Housekeeper hopefuls team up for sought-after jobs at SALT
Over 30 housekeeper hopefuls will be learning the ropes at a fun-filled recruitment day at Peppers Salt Resort & Spa, Kingscliff tomorrow (Tuesday 18 September).
Off the back of last week’s International Housekeeping Week, Peppers Salt Resort & Spa and Mantra on Salt Beach will team up to introduce applicants to some of the tasks they will undertake as a housekeeper with pillow relays, meet and greet sessions and resort tours.
Mantra Group Regional Human Resources Manager Steven Hair said the recruitment day will be more enjoyable for candidates than the usual one-on-one interview.
“The group recruitment process has been designed to be informative and fun, while at the same time, giving us an opportunity to assess the core skills and attributes we are looking for at Peppers Salt Resort & Spa and Mantra on Salt Beach.
Steven said the resorts are aiming to recruit 20 new Team Members in all areas of housekeeping over two interactive sessions (at 9am and 1pm).
“As the resorts have an ‘employ locally’ policy and as we’re one of the biggest employers in the region, we’re delighted with the amount of local talent we’ve attracted to tomorrow’s recruitment drive.
“Additional recruitment days will also be held at the resorts in the future,” Steven said.
Last week during International Housekeeping Week, Peppers Salt Resort & Spa and Mantra on Salt Beach celebrated their incredible housekeeping team with a range of fun-filled activities.
While both resort’s show their appreciation for their housekeeping team year round, each September, they embrace International Housekeeping Week and put the spotlight on them to recognise their efforts in creating comfort and cleanliness for guests.
From Room Attendants to Public Area Cleaners and Team Leaders, the entire housekeeping team at both resorts enjoyed a week of festivities including gourmet treats and games such as pillowcase races and hide and seek.
An array of photo opportunities will be available at tomorrow’s recruitment day (Tuesday 18 September). Please contact onsite media contact Steven Hair on 0402 895 543 for directions on the day.
