ANOTHER GOURMET PARTNERSHIP FOR PEPPERS
Luxury boutique hotel brand, Peppers, has announced a comprehensive national food and wine program – the “Peppers Gourmet Food Trail” - a series of events, packages and gourmet offerings throughout the Peppers network of 23 retreats, resorts and hotels across Australia, incorporating the expertise of their Chefs and the local produce of the region and partnering with celebrated wine critic, Nick Stock.
Following a partnership with top-rating TV show MasterChef in 2011, Peppers successfully lifted its profile as the hotel brand of choice for food lovers and will further consolidate this status in 2012 by partnering with leading food and wine critic, Nick Stock - Gourmet Traveller WINE magazine contributor and editor of The Age/SMH Good Wine Guide - who will host a selection of events throughout the 12 month program. A host of other degustation dinners and lunches, food tours and gourmet packages are also available with full program details available at www.peppers.com.au/food
“We have some exceptional talent with our Chefs in the Peppers network and properties situated in some of the finest food and wine regions in Australia so we wanted to continue that journey we started with MasterChef and profile Peppers as the hotel brand of choice for food lovers who look to combine great dining with their travel experiences,” says Director of Marketing for Peppers, Ken Minnikin.
Peppers is leading the way in bringing hotel dining back to the prestigious status it once enjoyed and Peppers Chefs were invited to submit menu and event ideas to be incorporated into the Peppers Gourmet Food Trail program. “The Peppers Food Trail is literally a very ‘organic’ program of events devised by our Chefs out in the network who work with the produce and develop menus with wines to complement on a daily basis,” says National Food & Beverage Director, Scott Robertson.
“It made sense to gather the knowledge from the network to come up with a true celebration of all things gourmet in some of Australia’s finest food and wine regions.”
The first event – ‘In Season in the Tropics’ - will take place at Peppers Beach Club & Spa Palm Cove on 10 and 11 August, hosted by Nick Stock, with future events scheduled at Peppers properties across Australia including the Hunter Valley and Southern Highlands in New South Wales; Port Douglas, Palm Cove, Airlie Beach and Magnetic Island in Queensland; Daylesford, Mornington Peninsula and Mount Hotham ski fields in Victoria; and Cradle Mountain in Tasmania.
Travellers unable to make the food event dates can also enjoy Gourmet Food & Accommodation packages available throughout the year all in celebration of fine food and wine. Or if they wish to prepare a gourmet faire at home an extensive list of tips and recipes are also available on the Peppers food hub.
