A day on the green

Legends on their way to rock the vineyards

There's something about legendary rock songs, fabulous wine and stunning scenery that mix together for an unbeatable experience.

The success of events such as the series of A Day on the Green concerts are becoming so popular that the big acts keep on coming, with the next few months promising some of the most famous names in the trade on their way to wineries throughout NSW.

From iconic Aussie acts like INXS and Jimmy Barnes to international favourites such as Sting, America and Chicago, music lovers will be able to sample some of the finest sounds and wines around.

Two estates hosting the concerts are located in the Hunter Valley and Southern Highlands of Central New South Wales, so several nearby Peppers retreats are inviting guests to rock out and then retire to the stunning ambience of their charming country accommodation.

Peppers Guest House and Peppers Convent, both offering elegant accommodation and indulgent leisure facilities in the Hunter Valley, are the perfect base to enjoy coming events to the famous winery region.

On November 6 at Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter, a triple bill of Chicago, America and Peter Frampton will perform, followed by Crowded House on November 20, Sting on February 5 and Roxy Music on February 26.

While on November 13 for A Day on the Green at the Hunter's Bimbadgen Estate Winery, Jimmy Barnes will perform alongside Tex Perkins and Vanessa Amorosi, followed by the January 29 performance of INXS, Baby Animals and Train.

Three days earlier on January 26, Australia Day, the trio of INXS, Baby Animals and Train will also perform for A Day on the Green at Centennial Vineyards in Bowral.

To celebrate such a talented line-up coming to the Southern Highlands, Peppers Craigieburn has devised an INXS Concert Package for visitors making their way to the Southern Highlands to enjoy the show.

From $529* per person, make it a short break away with two nights accommodation in a Terrace or Elms Wing Room at the historic Peppers Craigieburn on a 36-hectare country estate, breakfast each morning, a three-course-dinner on one night in Montfort’s Dining Room, and two gold tickets to the concert at Centennial Vineyards.
