New joint tourism campaign worth its salt for Northern Rivers
2 March 2010
Any local knows the Northern Rivers is worth its 'Salt' when it comes to amazing tourism appeal.
So Mantra Group's popular Peppers Salt Resort & Spa has joined forces with Northern Rivers Tourism in a firm commitment to spread the news further afield with a $100,000 tactical marketing campaign as part of the Regional Tourism Partnership Program.
Together, the aim is to build the awareness of what every local already knows… that Salt in Kingscliff and the surrounding Northern Rivers Region is the ideal location for a break away for business, pleasure, leisure, relaxation, pampering and family fun.
“We are pleased to announce the co-operative marketing campaign between Northern Rivers Tourism and Mantra Group (Peppers Salt Resort & Spa), which really, when it comes down to it, is all about highlighting what a wonderful place we have here at Salt and the surrounding Northern Rivers Region,” says Scott O'Neile, Mantra Group Regional Sales and Marketing Manager.
“We aim to build the tourism business for the region via a savvy campaign across print, television and the internet, which can only benefit everyone who lives and works here in terms of tourism dollars and helping the community continue to thrive,” says Mr O'Neile.
“This dual commitment also highlights a unified approach to the future of tourism in the region, and shows the mutual support between Mantra Group and Northern Rivers Tourism,” he says.
The campaign targets visitors from the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney, highlighting great value for short breaks at Mantra Peppers Salt Resort & Spa from March to June 2010:
- Stay from $198* per night in a Resort Room including breakfast, in-house movies and all the Peppers extras
- Stay from $349* per night in a Two Bedroom Suite including breakfast, in-house movies and all the peppers extras
(*Conditions apply and subject to availability. Valid for travel until 31/08/10. Block out dates and minimum nights stays apply. Maximum numbers per package apply. For full terms and conditions visit peppers.com.au)
“Salt Village at Kingscliff on the Tweed Coast is one of Australia's best value holiday destinations,” says Russell Mills, Chief Executive Officer of Northern Rivers Tourism Inc.
“As competition for the domestic travel market increases, it's important we are promoting travel to the region,” says Mr Mills.
“The Mantra Group has always shown a strong commitment to destination marketing and their Kingscliff properties are becoming very popular among target audiences in south-east Queensland – being able to take a short break for as little as $198 is a very compelling offer.”
The campaign, which began on television on February 28, is supported by the NSW Government through Tourism NSW and its Regional Tourism Partnership Funding Program.
