QUEENSLAND’S Scenic Rim showed a leading edge at the Queensland Tourism Awards on Friday night, with the region producing the state’s best restaurant and finalists in other key categories.
Peppers Spicers Peak Lodge was the toast of the State’s dining scene winning Best Tourism Restaurant at the gala function at Conrad Jupiters on the Gold Coast which attracted over 900 people.
Peppers Spicers Peak Lodge was also finalist in the best Luxury Accommodation section while guided walks company Hidden Peaks Walks was in top stride, reaching the finals in Best New Tourism Development.
Further flavouring Peppers Spicers Peak’s reputation for dining excellence, the restaurant award is the latest in a list of impressive accolades for Queensland’s highest mountain retreat.
It won the coveted Best Fine Dining Restaurant 2006 title at the Restaurant and Catering Queensland annual awards and Tourism Queensland’s best luxury accommodation awards in 2006 and 2007.
Peppers Spicers Peak Lodge also beat a class field to win the coveted Best Luxury Hotel award at the 2008 Queensland HMAA Awards for Excellence.
