Salt gears up for World Rally Championship

Peppers Salt Resort & Spa, Peppers Balé Salt and Mantra on Salt Beach are gearing up to be the official rally headquarters for Repco Rally Australia 2009, the World Rally Championship round coming to northern New South Wales on 3-6 September, 2009.

During the event, the three resorts at Salt, Peppers Salt Resort & Spa, Peppers Bale Salt and Mantra on Salt Beach will be themed with all of the excitement of the 2009 FIA World Rally Championship.
A Ford factory team prototype rally car arrived at Mantra on Salt Beach Resort this week and is now taking pride of place in the resort’s foyer.
The event, round 10 of 12 in the 2009 FIA World Rally Championship, will be staged on gravel roads in the Tweed and Kyogle Shires while the rally headquarters and main service park will be at Salt Village, Kingscliff.
The FIA World Rally Championship is one of the most diverse, thrilling and challenging motor sports competitions in the world.
Many of the world’s major car manufacturers will be represented. Subaru, Ford, Citroen and Suzuki currently contest the outright category, whilst Fiat, Peugeot, Mitsubishi and Renault contest the support categories.
