Introducing Restaurant Sanctuary

Award-winning Chez Pok restaurant at Peppers Guest House has been reborn as the new Restaurant Sanctuary. Timed with a comprehensive refurbishment, Restaurant Sanctuary promises a memorable culinary experience for in-house guests, locals, new and returning diners.

Well regarded interior designer Chris Cole Clark has created "a contemporary and refined, warm and relaxed atmosphere with a touch of art nouveau." The black baroque furniture, flamboyant lighting and engraved glass mirrors ensures the restaurant exudes the atmosphere of Peppers.

Executive chef Michael Bolam returns to the kitchen and continues to offer exceptional cuisine taking advantage of the Hunter Valley's amazing produce for which the region is famed.

Restaurant Sanctuary celebrates win

Restaurant Sanctuary (formerly Chez Pok) has added another jewel to the crown after being awarded Best Restaurant in a Hotel for the Hunter Valley Region at the 2010 Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence.

Get wrapped in the Healing Power of Grapes

Peppers Guest House retreat’s on-site spa, Endota invites you to indulge in their new range of Vinotherapie treatments which enlist the region’s famous fruit to fight the effects of ageing.

Vinotherapie treatments, which originated in France, use the stems, oils, seeds and flesh of wine grapes to create anti-ageing skin and body treatments – giving new meaning to the idea of soaking up a good drop.

Spa owner Julie Molenaar has teamed up with natural Australian skincare company Victoria’s Essentials to create Hunter Valley varieties of the famous French Vinotherapie treatments.

Providing both a fun and therapeutic way of embracing the Hunter’s most luxurious product, you can choose from a range of decadent treatments including:

  • The  ‘chardonnay massage’ which wraps up with warmed vine leaves being laid all over the body,
  • A ‘pinot noir wrap’ which includes a detoxifying, skin polishing scrub
  • The ‘vinotherapie facial’ which uses all of the grape elements to cleanse, exfoliate, detoxify and moisturise
  • A shiraz bath soak which brings new meaning to the phrase ‘soaking up a good drop of red’

‘A taste sensation for the body’
