Peppers Anchorage recently held their Signature Winter Fireside Dinner, where a mix of local Port Stephens residents and in house guests were able to discover one of the region's highest regarded dining experiences firsthand.

Truly an evening of gourmet winter delights, this intimate three-course dinner was served fireside in the main guest lounge, showcasing Merretts Restaurant’s sumptuous winter menu, created by new chef Luke Carpenter with Pastry Chef Vanessa West.


  • Entrée: West coast chowder with clams and sour dough
  • Mid-course: Roasted beetroot, labna, hazelnuts, sherry vinegar dressing
  • Main: Twice cooked Bangalow pork with white beans and grape mustard
  • Dessert: Sticky date pudding, butterscotch sauce and caramel ice cream

Peppers Anchorage has a series of dining events planned through the year include an outdoor dinner on the marina’s boardwalk with one long table for communal dining. The next event is on July 27 and is a ‘Curries of the world’ Food Trail dinner.
