Peppers Salt Resort & Spa will host four inspiring MasterChef Weekend Escapes – each an immersion into the world of food, cooking competitions and the best seasonal produce from the Gold Coast Hinterland and New South Wales Northern Rivers produce-belt.

On arrival, a Peppers Gift Pack of regional produce and craft will welcome you to your luxurious Hotel Room. Two MasterChef aprons and a MasterChef Series 2 cookbook will make a great memento of your weekend.

Sitting down to a two-course dinner at Season on Friday night, you’ll begin to appreciate the passion of its chefs for innovative and seasonally inspired menus offering fresh local and organic ingredients.

Come Saturday you’ll be challenged to make the most of those MasterChef qualities everyone has hidden behind their aprons.

After a local tasting plate lunch and glass of wine, things will hot up in the kitchen with the Team Pressure Test.

Who will be the captain of your group? What will the signature Peppers dish be that you must replicate? You’ll have all the raw ingredients to complete it, as well as the tools and a basic recipe, but will you achieve it in the allocated time?

Peppers Chefs will share their passion for exquisite cuisine as they provide expert insight into the progress of your dishes. But the real pressure of the test will be in the tasting, as the judging panel compare your dish to the original. They’ll be looking for resemblance, taste and finished product. And for the winning effort, an amazing prize will be revealed.

Unfolding at the pace of a piquant soufflé, your culinary journey will go from the cook to the classroom with notebooks open, for a Masterclass with Season’s Executive Chef.

The Masterclass is the ideal opportunity to learn how to transform your own cooking into innovative dishes that excite the palette.Over the course of an hour, unlock secret processes and techniques to preparing and cooking seasonal produce. You’ll have the chance to discuss all things food – taste, smell, colours and textures, sauces and accompaniments with Reuben. And of course, there’s the tasting time to honour as well.

What could top off a food filled day like this? How about a four-course MasterChef Rewards Dinner with matched wines, featuring dishes served at the MasterChef rewards episode at Season (aired on MasterChef 26 May), including the second course Bangalow pork belly that impressed so much. Braised in tamarind and rock sugar with Tweed River mud crab, and served with a green papaya and mango salad, finger lime and chilli caramel dressing. That’s just one of four magnificent dishes!
