Deloraine Things To Do

Westbury
Just 10 minutes along the Bass Highway from Deloraine is the town of Westbury. This charming location, with a full and interesting history, is a fantastic excursion for all ages. Visit the Westbury village green, explore the Culzean Gardens and test your navigational skills at Westbury maze.
Cradle Mountain National Park
Immerse yourself in the beauty of Cradle Mountain National Park, a one and a half hour drive from Deloraine. This spectacular natural wilderness is a bush walker's paradise. Book a guided 4WD tour to experience the vastness of this rainforest environment, or set off on your own taking one of the scenic walks, following the many well marked trails.
Deloraine
Deloraine has a number of small galleries and antique shops that are well worth a visit. From silk arts and glass sculpture to jewellery and ceramics, there are a wide variety of beautifully crafted items. Visit many of the town's historic sites or stop in at one of the cafes for a well earned refreshment.
Winery Tours
The Tamar Valley is one of Tasmania's best wine growing regions. Located 45 minutes from Peppers Calstock, there are many boutique wineries that offer wine tastings, sales from the cellar door, cheeses and dried fruits. Many have cafes or restaurants, so you can break for lunch or a snack as you explore the area.

Salmon Farm
Located only five minutes drive from Deloraine 41 Degrees South Salmon Farm and Ginseng Farm offers self guided walks along the Western Rivulet passing through a diverse array of vegetation from wetland grasses to woodland areas. The key attractions are the fish farm itself, ginseng plantation, fish feeding, walks through a natural and man-made wetland with dragonflies, frogs, birds, fish, platypus and nature trails to the base of our waterfall.
The Honey Farm at Chuddleigh
You can find The Honey Farm in the small rural village of Chudleigh, which is located in a lush green valley along a scenic touring route just 10 minutes from Deloraine. The Honey Farm is a specialised retailer of honey and honey related products, including Active Manuka Honey. It is a theme business which manufactures and sells a wide range of honey, honey bee products like propolis, royal jelly, pollen and a large selection of lovely gift items and books.
Smibert Studio Gallery
Smibert Studio Gallery in Northern Tasmania was established in 1984 by artists Tony Smibert and Carmel Burns. Since then it has opened its doors and collections of art works to visitors from around the world. From here paintings and exhibitions travel around Australia and overseas.
