On land there are a plethora of activities including tennis and golfing. Below is a list of all there is to see and do:

Blue Water Sailing

Peppers Anchorage has teamed up with Blue Water Sailing to provide guests with a stunning Port Stephens sailing experience, including a match racing activity. You’ll spend a morning, afternoon or full day discovering the beauty of Port Stephens from the water. Your match racing sailing includes a sailing brief, two sails in Port Stephens harbour and a trophy presentation back at Peppers Anchorage, accompanied with a delicious lunch. Private sailing charters can also be organised for corporate group bookings, small groups of friends and couples. Enjoy a sunset sail, luncheon sail, full day sail, adventure sailing, and sail training.

Sand Dune Activities

The sand dunes surrounding Peppers Anchorage offer numerous adventure pursuits. Take a quad bike tour of the Stockton Sand Dunes where you will machine through the largest sand dunes in the southern hemisphere or take a more leisurely approach and explore the dunes with a camel ride. Other tour options include a 4WD tour exploring the beach, dunes and other interesting sites or if you want to do it safari style a Hummer tour grantees excitement. For the ultimate buzz try sand boarding, an increasingly popular sport, that will have you angled at a dizzying 60° on slopes reaching as high as 40 metres.

Private Charters

Make the most of the stunning scenery and the abundance of wildlife in Port Stephens with a breakfast, lunch or dinner shared or private cruise with the dolphins or whales or before heading out to dinner relax and unwind with a sunset cruise where you can enjoy drinks and canapé. If you enjoy game fishing or just fishing inside the bay private fishing charters are also available.

Snorkelling and Diving

Port Stephen is home to a large aquatic reserve which boasts some of the most amazing snorkelling areas in NSW. See the amazing wonders on a snorkelling tour of a variety of sites or become a qualified open water scuba diver in only two days or in just three hours with the PADI Discover Scuba program. If you’re already a qualified scuba diver, explore the amazing dive sites off Port Stephens ranging from wrecks to grey nurse shark colony grounds, there is something here to amaze even an avid diver. Tours depart from just outside Peppers Anchorage.

Whale and dolphin watching

See dolphins frolic is the ocean about a dolphin cruise departing both morning and afternoon on a daily basis. If you visit use between May and October there are also various vessels offering whale watching both morning and afternoon. For something really special set of over the Tomaree National Park in a helicopter past the coastline to get a glimpse of a glimpse of these gentle giants you will never forget. For something tranquil and relaxing the Tea Gardens Ferry takes you across Port Stephens to view the bottlenose dolphins and wading birds while enjoy tea and coffee. 

Parasailing

Enjoy breathtaking views of Port Stephens as you soar high into the air. You can fly solo or with a friend and sunrise and sunset booking are highly recommended.

Runabout Hire

Get out and enjoy the wonders of Port Stephens on your own private 4.35 metre Runabout with canopy and forward steering. No boat licence is required and maximum of four adults or two adults three children can be catered for.

Luxury Boat Cruise

Walk out onto the Anchorage Marina Passenger Wharf and cruise Port Stephens aboard a luxury cruiser. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Port Stephens while enjoying a gourmet food and drinks hamper. Port Stephens Community Arts Centre

At the Port Stephens Community Arts Centre you will find an amazing display of oil and water colour paintings, pottery, china, quilting, patchwork, woodwork and weaving.

Port Stephens Shell Museum

Only a minutes’ walk from Peppers Anchorage, the Shell Museum has a great range of rare and unusual shells.

Holbert’s Oyster Farm

Watch professional oyster shuckers at work, then take your purchase away or eat alfresco style onsite while looking over the stunning views of Port Stephens.

Nelson Head Inner Lighthouse Reserve

This National Trust classified reserve features a heritage display of early local history and is now the coastal patrol radio base. The lighthouse is also a well known location for wedding ceremonies with the amazing views.

Tanilba House

Built by convicts in 1831, Tanilba House is one of the oldest historical monuments in Australia.

Toboggan Hill Park

Kids will love the one kilometre long toboggan run and 11-bend decent down the hillside as well as 19 hole mini-golf, rock climbing, plaster painting, radio controlled cars, trucks and boats, video games, table games and weird mirrors.

Oakvale Farm and Fauna World

Experience life on a real farm! Your family will get up close and personal with cuddly farm animals and a wide array of Australian wildlife. Features bottle feeding and nursing of the baby animals daily.

Enjoy the nearby children friendly beaches

There are numerous safe beaches close by perfect for a day at the beach with the family and relaxed a barbeque or picnic. Your choices include Little Beach, Fingal Beach, Dutchies Beach Reserve, Fly Point Park and Nelson Bay Foreshore.

Shopping

Enjoy a spot of shopping at Kaos Surf, located in the Salamander Shopping Centre. Here you will find  over 400 square meters packed full of the latest surf wear fashions with brands such as Billabong, Rip Curl, Roxy, Hurley and Insight. They also feature ladies fashion brands including Wish, Tigerlily, Azuki, Seafolly and Aztec Rose.
