Overlooking Port Stephens marina and boardwalk, the award winning Merretts restaurant is renowned for its innovative menu rich in the freshest seafood Port Stephens has to offer. Merretts also offers an extensive choice of delectable non-seafood options, an all-day dining cafe menu and a comprehensive vegetarian menu.
Executive Chef, French-born Ludovic Poyer gained valuable expertise whilst training in his home country and working throughout Sydney and then gracing the shores of Port Stephens. As a result, distinctive French, Mediterranean and Asian influences are evident in each of his dishes.
In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner, Peppers Anchorage also serves a delicious high tea of sandwiches, pastries, scones with jam and cream and Devonshire tea or coffee.
Merretts Restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner and also serves an all day dining and children’s menu.
Breakfast: 7am - 10.30am
Lunch: 12pm - 2.30pm
High tea: 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Dinner: 6.30pm onwards (Note: Last orders taken at 9pm)

Chef Profile - Ludo Poyer
Executive Chef Ludo Poyer, a French native trained in Paris where he honed his craft for three years at Michelin star restaurant La Grande Cascade, Ludo is passionate about dining.
He believes a night out is about creating a total experience. He loves his guests to "slow down" and enjoy the evening. It is all about "pleasure at the table" and consistently delivering warmth and hospitality. Ludo loves to provide his guests with new sensations and surprises.
This passion is evident in his menu boasting subtle contrasts in flavours, texture and even temperatures in the one dish.
